    In July 2022, Wichita will not only host USA Boxing's National Junior Olympics for the first time in the city's history, but will also be the site of the first bouts in a new, combined amateur-professional fight series, showcased by Nico Hernandez - Wichita native, an IBA Flyweight World Title holder, 2016 Olympic Bronze medalist and winner of the 2012 and 2013 National Junior Olympics.

      Lol chill out the guys only 26 and just fought in bareknuckle a year and a half ago so he probably needed to heal his hands he is an Olympic medalist so of course he's going to get exposure.

        What the hell kind of insane choice is that for an Olympic Medalist to make such a dumb choice in his career? No high profile Olympic boxer just leaves the sport like that! Bareknuckle, WTF???

          Making 6 figures in his early professional career is a good enough reason plus he won by TKO.

            He got the biggest check of his career so far to fight in his home town against a no-hoper. That's why he did bare knuckle.
