Floyd Mayweather Jr. is making some moves to cut down his debt. Keith Kizer, executive director of the Nevada Athletic Commission, told the Grand Rapids Press that an agreement is in place between Mayweather and the IRS to settle the boxer's tax lien. The IRS has a lien against Mayweather in the amount of $6.1 million dollars.

The IRS has placed a levy against Mayweather's purse for Saturday's fight against Juan Manuel Marquez.

Kizer told the paper that there "has been a levy against the purse and there is an agreement between Floyd Mayweather and the IRS, in an amount of approximately $5 million." It was also said by Kizer that the IRS had not formally attached Mayweather's purse and he was unsure about how the money was going to be collected.

And that's great. That is the way it should be. Floyd hasn't managed his money as well as you.

At the same time, Floyd can turn to you and say that he conducted his life in a way that he became the consensus best in the world at a job that he loves. Have you?
Now, Carnivore, I don't know you, so I am not judging. All i'm saying is that for everything that you feel superior to Floyd in, he can probably pick something larger to be superior to YOU in.

Money comes. Money goes. Accomplishments and the history you make is forever.

When you talk about Joe Louis or Sugar Ray Robinson, do you talk about them dying flat broke? or do you talk about what they accomplished? 100 years from now, floyd's 5 WBC belts will be in the record books. His bust in Canastota will be there.

PBF knows how to make money. The problem is he resorts to classlessness to do so. An athlete of his caliber should know better.

The difference is, Floyd is not REALLY a great fighter like Holyfield or Robinson.

Those guys didn't hand-pick their opponents, making sure they're all either smaller, older or shot, the way Floyd has. The REAL great fighters fought anybody and everybody.

Floyd will be remembered for all the opponents he ducked: Casamayor, Mosley, Tszyu a few years ago, and more recently Margarito, Cotto, Mosley again, and Williams. When his name comes up in future years, that's what people will talk about.

Well, you should hope that they ask you to write his Hall of Fame plaque. You can include how he failed to clean out his fifth weight class.

Is Floyd an intelligent man, or is he really not a very bright fellow?

I think he is actually quite intelligent but want to give off the impression that hes a gangster. I think he tries a little hard to be flashy but in the end he doesn't seem like a dumb shiet like some other people. I have no idea whats going on with the IRS and all that maybe he was just too lazy to file. They been talking about it for a long time seems funny that he hasn't been brought to court or anything

He was intelligent enough to make it to the top of the boxing world, meanwhile you spend your free time talking about him on the internet. You tell me whose the more intelligent one in this equation.
