I recently had an inkling that perhaps Freites had been involved with Gatti's murder. Freites was there, and was speaking to the press afterwards.

Now it is more than an inkling. If such is the case I hope that things will begin to unravel soon.

I hadn't mentioned this su****ion of mine previously, now I think it is relevant. If the allegations are credible here Freites would seem like nothing short of a cold blooded killer. Keep in mind that the survivor of this incident escaped. Had he not I'm sure his body would be decaying right now and none of this would've ever come to light.

          ^^

With that said, I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see Freites have this entire incident swept under the rug to soon be forgotten.

Perhaps someone could simplify this for me

I read that Esportiva was killed. I also read that Esportiva is a newspaper, Gazeta Esportiva.

I'm not as sharp as I use to be and doubtless I'm missing something, which I hope someone will clarify for me. Thanks guys.

On the first mention of the man who was killed he is named as "Moses Pinheiro" so the "Esportiva was killed" was a typo. Perhaps Mark glanced up to reference Pinheiro's last name and accidentally substituted Esportiva as the man's surname.

Wonder what this thread would be like had Freitas name been replace with Mayweather Jr.
