And don’t get crazy about the PPV thing.
The only reason why MMA is doing so well is because there is a monopoly, once you will have 3-4 competing organisations that will be an end to MMA PPV records. If there was only 1 championship belt, the sport boxing would be selling way more tickets and PPV.

You gonna say MMA is not a threat to Boxing?
PPV buys, losing potential Boxers to MMA, more fans supportin MMA?
the so called biggest draw in Boxing failed to sell out an arena in what he now calls his hometown...UFC have no problem selling tickets in vegas.
like it or not, MMA is a threat to Boxing and promotors know it.

I was thinking about Arums comments and I was wondering if there were less American white guys in mma would it still have the same audience. Would the core audience of mma support the sport if the make up of its participants were the same as boxing's.

mma is for beer drinkers; they have all fat bellys and would get KO by a true fighter.
Ray mercer knokced out one of MMA's best in 9 ****ING Seconds. Cold.
Thats why Mayorga want to fgiht them i know he will KNock out all them. Mayweather is right, even kosta tsyu would Kncok out machida or fedor; their all bumms.

no its not. it's not a threat. its like comparing apples to oranges.
IMO I think both sports are a threat to each other and long as they are, hopefully bring the best out in the fighters and promotors. it will only benefit us, the fans.
