Andrade needs to look exciting for a while. He has zero momentum behind him to get the better matches out there. Wins like this look good in the public eye and if he gets better and better viewership, he can get a big fight. Does not matter if it is against scrubs or "B" level competition. He just needs fun looking wins and ratings.

Mate, An excellent win for Andrade. He is 31-0, former Olympian and a champion for 5 years undefeated. He was avoided by Canelo at 154 and 160 when a bout between both men was the most logical ti make. But then again Canelo only fights " CERTAIN " Fighters who play to his strengths and all but ensure him a win as soon as a bout is signed. Andrade doesn't fit the script for several reasons. Style, age, he is actually capable of winning and since Mayweather and Lara let's just say certain fighters he will definitely stay away from. Canelo has improved but he still has the same issues he had when he lost to Mayweather and struggled with Lara. He's slow to react when a good, speedy opponent takes away his counter punching routes and is able to connect on him taking nothing in return. He gets frustrated and because he's flat footed he cant keep up with them. Hence the opponents he's fought since then. All weak in critical areas that eventually play into his hands. Andrade who has no mileage on him and is still in his prime does not fit the script that Khan, Kovalev, Golovkin, Fielding, Chavez Jr, Callum Smith, Saunders and Plant provided. Old, chinny, flat-footed, inactive Euro belt holders etc..... is not what Andrade is. So it won't happen. Golovkin and Charlo are equally as guilty as Canelo for avoiding Andrade with extremely lame excuses. Of course supporters of these men who are "man fans" as opposed to BOXING fans will make the expected negative ignorant comments about Andrade because that's what this Era of phoney emotionally invested casuals do now adays. But there is absolutely zero justification for either of the Marquee fighters to continue avoiding a skilled, very capable undefeated Former Olympian who is champion for 5 years running now. I don't expect it to change anytime soon as long as Andrade stays winning and looking sharp in the process.joseph5620 likes this.

Another pointless gross mismatch. What did Quigley do to deserve a title shot? He's not on anybody's rankings was brutally knocked out by Tureano Johnson. We didn't learn anything from Andrade because Quigley has proven he's not world class.

First time I’ve seen Andrade and he looked impressive. “Quigley Down Under” (or on the canvas) is another in a long line of white, European boxers that have zero skills and should never get a sniff of a title. Unfortunately, this detracts from Andrade who qualifies for a much bigger payday and fight.

Charlo knew what he was doing.
Andrade wouldn't even take the risk of getting in there with a washed up former welterweight titlist. He absolutely has no good wins in 31 fights, 34 years on this earth.

No one saw this happening lol. Fair play to Andrade he does want the big fights just everyone is running from him. Surely they could have found someone better then Quigley tho?

But we shouldn't pretend like Charlo was world beating, either.

I'm saying Charlo has a couple decent wins to rub together while Andrade has zero.
That's it. Charlo's resume is soft as hell. It's just way better than Andrade's.
