The best body puncher in history

Who do you think is the best body puncher in history? By best, I don't mean the hardest hitting body puncher, I mean who was the most effective, who knew when to go to the body and when to go to the head? Who put together the best body attacks, and who could break down thier opponent physically and mentally (throwing them off their game plan) with their well executed body attacks?

lamotta was 'the man' at the body attack, hands down. He would throw to the body with intense volume punching..

i hate to bring this guy up, but butterbean actually had a really good double hook body attack

cotto or hatton are probably the best modern body punchers

Ward had a devastating body attack, his was brutal

tyson was good at throwing a hook to the body then a hook upstairs with the other hand

What about Mike "The Bodysnatcher" McCallum. I heard he was good at attacking the body.

I give Hagler credit too. I mean on the inside, he use to attack the head, the body, the chest...anything he could hit.

Remember how you said he had a pool at his trainer's gym what he use to practice in. Maybe he practiced the little short stiff punches he did while fighting on the inside in the pool. Because they didn't look very hard when he'd throw 'em, but they sure did a number on his opponents, it's just a guess though..

I think Hagler shadowboxed underwater, many of the good fighters have done it but when you see their routine posted it doesn't include it for some reason. What else would give him such an edge when it came to punching power, also swimming strengthens the neck, maybe that's why he was un KO'able..

I also know for a fact that Johnny Tapia shadowboxed underwater (not that he's a great fighter)

Mickey Ward was an excellent body puncher. So was DLH in his prime.

Mike Mccallum is one of the best bodypunchers that I have seen.

At the presnet no one comes close to Hatton for bodypunching, that is his fortay. Whatever you think of him, he is a great body puncher

Ward had a sick body attack. He had no jab, but damn could he **** to the body. And the clips I've seen of Lamotta he definitely had a great body attack.

JC Chavez was also known as a great body puncher. Barrera. Joe Frazier was also great.

Oh and I almost forgot Ruiz!
