If Malignaggi had/has no power behind his strikes, why did Juan Diaz' left side of his face look like hamburger helperŪ?

If anybody made a "******" mistake that night, it was Paulie... Homeboy needs to grow up, and stop talking ****! It takes 3 judges to score a fight, Gale Van Hoye's margin was rediculous, but nonetheless, you can't win a fight on jabs alone... a weak ass jab to make matters worse...

I dont care what you or any other ******* says. the POWER of the punch or WHAT TYPE of punch HAS NO DIFFERENCE on the scoring.

if paulie attempts more jabs in a single round than diaz does in his TOTAL punches for the round what does that say about what paulie was doin? chances are if paulie threw more jabs than total punches you threw in a round he more than likely threw a lot of power punches also. for example paulie attempted over 80 jabs in the very first round...his total for the round was 109 compared to diaz' total punch output of i think 55. 55 total punches in a round to 109...hmmm...yeah those jabs dont count thats why diaz won it right? cuz if you erase the jabs then he threw a significantly higher amount of punches but if you havent noticed jabs (like any other punch) DO count. a landed punch is a landed punch is a landed punch.

it does NOT matter WHAT punch or how HARD it was thrown. ask the guys paulie beat if the jabs count.

and if 90 something % of the country believes paulie won (and scored it for him) what are the chances ALL 3 judges would score against him? its not like the country is split 50/50 or anything in who they scored it for. a LARGE portion of viewers scored in paulie's favor.

so the 115-113 for diaz is acceptable to me. but 116-112 and 118-110 is DEFINATELY NOT accectable.

Im willing to bet you if this fight occured in a neutral state with NEUTRAL judges that Paulie would have gotten the victory. and if you think otherwise you are a tool my friend and belong exactly where you are now; in texas and scoring fights from your arm chair for your own personal pleasure.

This is NOT the Olympics my man. You need to score fights on more than just punches that score. The emphasis is on clean effective punching. Effective means punches that do more than pop zits. Paulie does not have much power in his right hand due to injury and he landed 111 out of 621 jabs. That means 511 of them hit Diaz gloves or arms.


That is a little bit harsh but the 118-110 score was pretty bad look at the scores int eh Dawson Johnson fight we had a sim score should that judge be banned too. See above comment about blocking with his face.....Lefty

Understood but now that you have him on the outside what do you do? He needed to throw more right hands and mix his punches up. He throw some where clsoe to 700 jabs andl ;anded 111 of them. Most of those jabs were not effective cause they hit either air or Juans gloves. As for Roy fan I am not the biggest Roy fan but I do respect that he had more than 5 KO's.
