As I have said before and I will say it again....

The "limitations" that boxing has, is what makes it a sport not a fight. If you want to go see a fight, where a ex WWE fake wrestler can become HW champion in your "sport" then go right ahead.

I would rather see two men, dedicated to an art, that takes them ALL OF THEIR LIVES to master compete in a ring.

Why didn't Kimbo go into boxing and not mma? You know why? Because he gets his head beat in that's why. Same reason a 50 year old Ray Mercer KO's a former World Champion UFC HW, in what? 30 seconds in mma rules? haha

Look, I like mma, I really do. It's fun to watch two guys fight. If I see a fight outside the bar or club on a Saturday or Friday night, I stop and watch....but if I want to see the sweet science, two men who's skills with thier fists are at a level only decades of dedication can give you, watch BOXING.

Another thing is, the most exciting mma fights according to mma fans and the people in charge are almost always "stand up" fights. Well guess WTF boxing is? Nothing BUT stand up........

Boxing>mma all day, every day and forever.

Ali must have been prime when he lost. He had parkinsons at that point . Go post in the mma forums. And lets see the numbers UFC 100 did, you know the one Dana Whitwesaid would smash Tyson numbers.
Because I have an open mind and don't bash another sport?? Idiot!!

NO ONE forced him to fight with Parkinson. I can post wherever I want. I love both sports.

Here you're criticizing Floyd stans about PPVs and yet now you're bringing a PPV up. lol

Ali who is considered one of the best of all time lost to a dude that was 6 - 0 .
Bad comparison considering the fact that Spinks had already beat Righetti and was the very best prospect coming up into the sport at the time. On top of that Ali was in much worse shape than what Courtour is. Spinks actually earned his spot, your lover never did.

Exactly. Boxers are meant to master one sport. mma fighter son another hand do a crappy job of about 4 sports. that would be like making a hybrid version of basketball, soccer, and football all in one.

Forget that Dana White was *****eting long and loud that UFC 100 buys would have been epic, and that it wold smash boxing records. It wasn't even close.

So a prospect beat the greatest HW of all time?? That's pretty awesome.

whoever posted this article is a ****

you also posted this on east side boxing, you are clearly a **** stirring MMA fanboy

                  get a life

the reason why boxing wont die is because its base is in the working class communities, y'no you'll never see the african american/hispanic community embrace MMA like they have boxing because of the history of it

to be honest, boxing needs to get off HBO/Showtime and back to the begining, back to the normal tv, so if it dies down a bit it will be a blessing in disguise

So what! Its smashing them right now ain't they? Where do we see someone selling over a million PPVs right now without the name Oscar??

It was epic, far more epic than the trashy fights Hopkins is in most of the time.
