In other words, he quit. He had a choice, go out on his shield or quit and we all know which one he chose.

the corner knows when to stop the fight.. that's what they are there for.. why risk the health of your fighter, just call it a day and prepare for the next day ahead..

cotto gave his all but margo simply was overwhelming him.. the corner saw it thats why they stop the fight..
