First, I'd just like to say that Bob Arum is a jealous money-grubbing scumbag for even making these ridiculous comments. Give Floyd his fking respect for Christ sake! He beat De La Hoya and crushed Hatton before Manny did it. Furthermore, Mayweather is an undefeated fighter, is Pacquiao? Hell no! So let's digest this, an undefeated fighter, multi-division champion, and a boxing master against a defeated, basically one dimensional fighter in Manny Pacquiao does not equate to 50/50. Sorry!

It equates to 50/50 in Bob Arums greedy mind because he's been **** on by Oscar and Floyd and it still bothers him he's not able to reap the benefits of them being his former ******. That's the truth! So to make up for not having those ****** any longer he jockeys for the juicier cuts in ANY negotiations with them, hence this nonsense.

In my opinion, the Mayweather/Marquez tango will tell the story of the Mayweather/Pacquiao tango. If Mayweather dominates Marquez he's going to crush Pacquiao.

Don't assume this fight will get made. Arum has plenty of options for Pac outside of a Mayweather fight.

You have the Cotto possibility and a probable rematch if the fight is at all competitive--that's two big fights with 100% Top Rank profit right there. Then there's Mosley and the oft-discussed Edwin Valero fill-in fight between the biggies.

In other words, Pac could go Cotto-Cotto-Valero-Mosley as his next four fights (yes, I realize Mosley would be about 39 by then, but nevertheless...) and people would not be disappointed or calling him a ducker, except PBF fans.

Ideally, Floyd could go JMM-Mosley-Cotto/Pac winner, but color me skeptical on that one (not that he could win, but that the fights actually get made).

I do think Floyd will beat Marquez impressively, and then he would beat Mosley, but I think he just NEEDS to fight EITHER Pac or Cotto.

Funny for all the **** both sides are talking it will end up being a 50/50 split.

Pacquiao doesn't have much over Mayweather and vice versa.

Pac is a beast and more exciting than Floyd to watch but both sides have excellent points. Floyd was the best boxer when he retired undefeated and Manny has destroyed the 2 best fighters and squeaked a decisiion out of the 3rd(JMM) A 50/50 split is fair. Arum is delusional too thinking Floyd should get 30%

Bob Arum has had a hard on for Mayweather since he left top rank. Arum refuses to release the numbers from Hatton/Pac because it did worse than Mayweather/Pac. If Mayweather/Marquez does well, which it will most likely, how can he say Mayweather doesn't even deserve 50/50 split. Mayweather/DLH outsold Pac/DLH by 1 mill ppv sales recession or not, DLH was the main draw, but the Mayweather show aka 24/7 I think had a lot to do with it. HBO gave Mayweather 15 mill for the rights to Mayweather/Marquez fight. Pac has more fans and is great to watch, but Mayweather is making more money than him.......

Arum is taking a tough stance.

Either way Floyd will be forced to fight a Big opponent for once in his career

50/50 spli is not fair, Pac has been working hard while Floyd sat back and waited. Pac has since become hugely popular and is exciting. Floyd loves this scenario....a small fighter to fight on a big PPV card...he loves it which is why he chose to fight Hatton back in the day. I mean seriously the guy fought Gatti for god sakes on his historic rise to the top of boxing..he is not as big a draw as he thinks. The business is about what have you done lately. Seriously Floyd shouldnt even get this fight he should fight Cotto or something.
