However, all you have to base your criticism on right now is words -- and as I stated in my post -- you can't believe anything that comes out of a boxing promoter or fighter's mouth until something is on paper.

Hes been a welter for 4 years.

    How long should we wait?

Apparently, Margarito had too many losses and nobody knew him. He apparently doesn't fight sparring partners, referring to Mosley, but didn't have a problem fighting Castillo, twice. Told Cotto to get his PPVs up, but fought Judah, after a loss.

I can go on, but you get the point,

I have more than words to criticize on.

If not Pac,Cotto, or Shane then who??? Berto and Clottey are the only welterweights relevant enough at the top of the division to be a semi-worthy challenge and a matchup with either is almost guaranteed foregone conclusion. And we all know he's not going to fight anyone from the 154lb division so why fight at all???
I do not think Floyd would have an issue fighting Spinks at 154, plus he is a lefty so that has the added bonus of helping him prepare for Manny should he win. Spinks is probably more deserving then Clottey and Berto based on overall boxing accomplishments.

I do not see that fight as a huge challenge but it is not a terrible matchup either.

The biggest fights out there for Floyd are clear as day though. If he keeps fighting eventually they will see each other.

Marquez had absolutely no business above lightweight let alone at welterweight

Zab Judah is......well.....Zab Judah. That needs no explanation.
Excuses 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Let me help you with your future excuses. Mosley was too old. Cotto had nothing left after the Margarito fight. Pacquaio was too small. Paul Williams was overrated. Vitali Klitkscho was out of shape and didn't take the fight seriously. Wladimir Klitkscho had no chin. And last, but not least, King Kong was a mechanical ape and had no skills!!!

Actually, I don't get the point and you don't have a clue what you are talking about. To answer your question, you should wait until the next fight is signed to see who he is fighting. In spite of your speculation, you don't have a clue who that will be, but you will criticize him regardless of who it is.

If some boxing writer paid for his opinion on the sport judged Floyd to be the best ever (at this point) I would have to seriosuly question everything that guy wrote before and after.
Good point, its his opinion... confidence is important in Boxing.

So you're not that bright eh?

My bad, I thought it was laid out pretty simple.

              btw,

we've been waiting for 4 years already.

Still no fights with Tony, Miguel, Shane, Josh, Paul, or even Kermit.

              But yet,

a part time fighter in DLH, a jr ww Ricky Hatton, a 2 fight lightweight JMM, and Baldomir and Judah.

So how much longer should we wait again?

All the fans ask is that he fight the best fighters in his division just like we've accepted every other boxer who has done the same thing.

Nobody is asking Floyd to do the impossible. Its not like he hasn't won at 154 already.

              Just fight the best competition.

              2005 until now,

              it hasn't happened.

If Floyd fights Spinks he gets a pass from me or anyone at 154 for that matter even though that would probably be a really boring fight just based purely on the actual challenge it presents. I still think Floyd would have his way with Spinks but he would at least have a puncher's chance as opposed to the absolutely no chance Marquez had.

If Floyd fights a smaller fighter yet again though I will be seriously disappointed.

even if floyd fights spinks it's still a duck because spinks can't generate as much money as mosley will.... money is one of the reasons why floyd stans think floyd can duck mosley.

Guess we can add Mathew Hatton to the list?
