He couldnt even knock out a punchbag (oscar) who was probably light headed just walking to the ring
Face it, mannys good but he isnt a one punch k.o artist, only way i can see him getting a k.o is by cuts/hatton gives up/hatton gets hit with 1000s of punches
Wow, I'm really sick of these nearly ******ed guys (not exggarating, really medically close to being ******ed) trying to make observations and analyze them.
The OP says that Manny doesn't have power above 130 and yet Manny's only two fights above 130 he won both by KO/TKO?
David Diaz may not be the best boxer but he was a guy who was finished only once by much heavier fighters than Pac in 36 fights.
Oscar who fought even bigger people and had the chin to withstand punches from all of them didn't want to continue with Manny. This is not a easy decision for a fighter who was never finished (with a headshot) and yet you completely disregard this.
OP, what the *** is your point? Nobody thought of Manny as a 1 punch KO artist, so what the *** is your problem? You don't have to be a 1 punch Ko artist to be considered a power puncher. And usually the 1 punch KO guys aren't the best fighters because they rely on their power too much which prevents them from being the best boxers.
Having power means having the ability to stun your opponent without having to throw slugging shots, and Manny has this. Manny's power is not from strength, but from speed and explosiveness.
Rashad Holloway who trains at Wild Card was quoted as saying Manny Pacquiao's punches hurt more than Margaritos. Now this is, I believe, a junior middleweight saying this.

Pacmanjay.
1. Stop getting so ****ing upset someone said something you dont like about your favourite fighter.
It's not like he was slaggin the Pac off, just simply talking his opinion.
If you don't like it, fine, say what you have to say, but crying like someone just kicked you in your vagina over something like this just makes you seem like a nuthugger straight up and down.
Why is it in this place, that you can't say anything about a fighter that ISN'T literally licking their balls over the internet without being called a hater, or being thought of as a hater, or having people pissed off that you too aren't licking that fighters balls?
No wonder this place is practically void of actual, rational discussion. Everyone seems to just want to snap at each other for the smallest thing lol.
2. Pacquiaos win over DLH was more to do with DLHs fitness and Pacquiaos speed and movement. Oscar was hardly able to even punch and when he did, they were highly ineffective. Oscars issue wasn't Pacs power, it was the fact that he was getting outboxed pure and simple.Last edited by GrizzleBoy; 05-02-2009, 03:58 PM.

Grizzleboy
why dont you try to, i don't know....., ***ing read the way the OP dissed Pacquiao. when a ****** like the OP disses a fighter that is loved by many, they have the right to refure especially when that person's reasons are completely ridiculous.
your second point is YOUR opinion so dont' state it like a fact. And still doesn't mean that Pacquiao doesn't hit hard, which is what the OP suggested. If Pac had no power than Oscar would have taken all his shots and still lasted 12 rounds, period.
btw its clear to anyone who can read and comprehend that YOU are the one CRYING.
