    floyd is a cautious fighter...he broke hatton down first then ko'd him...but yea he def carried him thru the 9th round

        I'm not sure, Ricky didn't do too bad in the early rounds, so no way could he have done it before the 5th or 6th, but Floyd was just a nightmare for him, also he was getting dreadful advice from his corner, billy graham had no answers for ricky when he got in trouble, that was a bad night all round for him.

          as he had predicted he would ...anyone know what they did ?

          Mayweather says that during the promotional press tour, he was disrespected by the fans in Hatton's hometown of Manchester. He vowed to make Hatton pay for their disrespect.

          "I thought the British fans, British males were nothing but gentleman, but what I came to see is that you can't believe everything you hear," Mayweather said. "It doesn't matter though, because Ricky Hatton is going to have to pay for what they did, and he better fight hard because I'm going to bring my best always."

          "A 12-round brutal beating sticks with you more than a guy hit you with one shot and you get knocked out. Anyone can say he caught me with a lucky shot. But a brutal beating where you close both his eyes, break his ribs and leave him with blood in his mouth, that sticks with you."

              Ricky didn't recieve what i would call a brutal beating, in fact about half an hour after the fight he seemed fine to me.

                If he thought he could KO Hatton at any time why did he jump straight on him after the knockdown, he could have let Hatton hold and recover to give Hatton more of a beating. + He look very relieved at the end of a fight for a fighter who was carrying someone.

                    floyd carried hatton from the second round onwards, he couldve knocked him out anytime, pbf wanted to beat him up and he was successful, since that fight hatton has looked fragile, i really dont buy into this **** that hatton is back to his best when he beat malignaggi, look at the lazcano fight, thats what ricky has left
