Yeah I see what you're saying..posters think that a win over an undefeated Corrales is nothing..that win is so underrated. Then he tops it off by actually fighting at Jr Middleweight against the Number 1 JMW.

I still don't see the hype in PBF-Cotto... no disrespect to Cotto, I like him a lot... But as far as skills, Cotto is great, but Floyd is on an ATG skills level as far as Im concerned.

I suppose I see the curiosity in the fight because Miguel IS a very good fighter, but the skill difference to me doesn't hype me as much. Not that I wouldn't be excited if the fight got made, because I would be..

The fight I want to see is PBF-Pacman.... a fight between TWO #1 Pound for Pound fighters... both LIGHTER fighters, now fighting around the same weight... The skilled technician vs the adrenline rush... it entices me like crazy...

This would be the most hyped fight that could be made for me besides Marquez-Vazquez 4...

He have said it since he won his first totle at 140.
I know he has, but I don't believe him..if he loses to Clottey then i'll believe he will retire before 30.
It's hard to leave th sport at that age trust me when he gets to 30 he's gonna change his mind about retiring at 30.

Cotto will continue to fight past 30... especially living in PR with those fans..

Good post Reed. Although I prefer Cotto/Mayweather, Cotto is an offensive fighter he does everything good offensively but lacks defense. While Mayweather has both pretty much balanced with underrated accuracy. A Pacquiao/Mayweather fight sounds more exciting, you know why? I think Pacquiao would make Floyd fight because Floyd would have to go after him. Cotto/Floyd, Cotto would be right in front of Mayweather trying to go to the body which is what Mayweather likes.

The Tyson quote... " They come with their primative skills & dare to step in the ring with me" Immediately comes to mind....

Oh ****... I only answered the question... Didn't know it's become a Miguel Cotto thread...

are you srsly trying to compare williams, mosley, and pacquio to hearns, hagler, and duran. your on dope!! lol, floyds resume will never look like srl, its not floyds fault, its jus that srl fought in a golden era. williams isnt even clos to being half as good as hearns, pacquio cant even be compared to legionds like duran. and how the hell is mosley like hagler? lol hagler would KILL em.

                      I'll start

                      Roberto Duran=Manny Pacquiao
                      Tommy Hearns=Paul Williams
                      Marvin Hagler=Shane Mosley
                      Benitez=Miguel Cotto

Althoug beating either one of Cotto or Mosley is good enough..

                      Make your list
what WW does Floyd need to fight in order to compare it to SRL's resume at WW

Note: If Hatton beats Pacquiao then Hatton was Mayweather's Duran even though Hatton and Duran can't be compared at all.
if floyd beats mosley and cotto and pac and jmm, I think that will good enough to get within srl's level.
