Two things that are wrong with Hatton/Mayweather Sr.'s thinking

First, Hatton mostly blames his former trainer for his poor recent performances (pre-Malanaggi). He really believes that his trainer was the reason he lost to Mayweather. The truth is he lost to Mayweather because he wasn't talented enough.

Second, he thinks just two training camps with a new trainer will make himself a completely new fighter. Manny has been working with Freddie for a very long time and its going to take more than 16-20 weeks (two training camps) for him to beat such a successful duo.

Floyd Sr. thinks that it was his training that made Ricky's performance against Malignaggi, but the truth is Ricky excells when he knows the punches coming back won't amount to much, and Malignaggi is about as light fisted as they come.

He cant have turned Hatton into enough of a defensive fighter to fend off Pacquiao, and trying to do so might actually prove detrimental, as he will have Hatton thinking too much during the match.

He left Graham because he felt he could improve with a new trainer, people in every sport want to be the best they can be. Why should he hold himself back by sticking with a trainer he feels can't improve him anymore. **** all to do with loyalty. I'm sure he would have still had Graham involved in some way or another, but Graham took it to heart.

nah, hatton's been winning based on his talent alone. graham is not a world class trainer.

that said, hatton can never beat floyd ever.

against lesser opponents floyd sr's training will give hatton a better edge, but against pac, hatton must revert to his grappling mauling style to win.

floyd's traing does work for hatton, but it's the wrong thing against pac.

Hey check out my avatar. Remember when Morales switched southpaw on Pacquiao? Some things training camp just can't prepare you for.

It's not like Hatton is gonna switch to southpaw though. Morales is leagues above Hatton.

Dude can't balme Cortez or anybody else for the loss to Mr boat buyer. And even tho Sr can improve his overall boxing game, he still can't outbox Pac anyway. He's the bigger stronger guy and that's what he needs to utilize to win. Just be his old self. If he tries to box wit Pac, he'll get ripped to shreds.

                  Said that about Paulie.

If he box/brawls he stops Pac.
