I'm going to have to disagree with that dude. I genuinely feel that the standard of challengers at HW right now is pretty atrocious. When an ancient version of Holyfield gets robbed from winning a belt you know things are not good.

I am not saying the Klitschkos are not great fighters, they are, and I am a fan of both, especially VK. What I am saying is that noone around now even comes close. There aren't even competitive fights out there right now the Klitschkos are so far ahead. THat means that basically, there are no potentially great fighters at Heavy right now with the exception of the Klitschkos.

There are good fighters in the heavyweights today. It's just that they have an underserving sense of self-entitlement. If the top contenders fight one another (and I'm including the Klits in this) on a regular basis then will could potentially have a great fighter. At this moment, there are NO GREAT FIGHTERS in the heavyweight ranks. Wladimir and Vitali are two really good fighters in an era of mediocre fighters. The young guys like Dimitrenko, Povetkin, Solis, Chambers, Pala, Platov, Boytsov, Wilder, Johnson, and Arreola have the potential to bring us to at least the heyday of the 80's heavyweights and if we're lucky, maybe the 90's or 70's eras. And the author of this thread put up one of the dumbest boxing post I have ever read. I have pity on him to be honest.
