You can't say either 'would have won', but Lewis was taking over the fight by that stage. IMHO it would have been a comfortable UD, or late stoppage in Lewis' favour.

Lewis won by TKO round 6.

Vitali was winning the fight, and seemed to be in better shape.

I think he would've stopped Lewis around the 9th round had he not been cut.

and rushed Vitali at the start of the third and opened his eye up........Lewis was gonna stop him.......Vitali caught Lewis on a bad night and still couldn't deliver......Lewis was outta shape and unmotivated while Vitali was inspired and hungry.......the first few rounds of the fight showed that......but as the fight went on and you started to realize.....yo, this is a fückin' war........you start to see that one guy was perfectly comfortable with ****in' in the phone booth and the other wanted a more tech type fight......Vitali had NEVER been in a fight like that before......Never in such a brutal war that Lennox made him fight.......Lewis on the other hand had been in those kinds of scraps before.......Lewis vs Mercer, especially the 4th round.......is a HW classic.....Vitali had just 3 of his 31 KO's at the time come past 10......Ross Puritty, Vaughn Bean and Larry Donald, not Lewis level opponents.......not to mention Vitali was havin' his way with these dudes......there's nothing that can convince me that Vitali would've finished on his feet.......a 9th round stoppage of a cat named Obed Sullivan is suppose to convince me that Vitali would've got Lewis the same............Lewis had him and Vitali KNOWS it.......he can't live with the feelin he had that night because he's a MAN.....its not the lost, its the fact he FELT beat........he needs self-redemption......Lewis MIGHT sale him a chance at it for something small like $100 mill .....Big V get ya stacks up man then holla at "the dread" before them greys get too hard to twist and hide!

He was closer to his prime, because Lewis never had the lingering kickboxing injuries and the periods of time off, because of those and new injuries, that Vitali's had to deal with.

Taking kickboxing into consideration, Vitali has been in more wars than Lewis. In fact, Lennox's long reach of 84" (compared to Vitali's 80") helped him to become virtually untouchable to most of his opponents as long as he kept them at bay with his jab, so he never got hit too much in his career.
LOL @ the reach obsession again. Of course this is wingspan which measure chest and finger length but assuming it's accurate of arm length we're only talking 2" per arm for guys who are 6 1/2 feet tall roughly. Of course your ignoring the height advantage of Vitali which makes reach more effective.

                  Talk about scraping the barrel...

Lewis was completely spent at the time of the stoppage. I think the proud man would take a lot of punishment in the next couple rounds before being stopped on his feet.

I say it could've went either way. Both were exhausted. No way it would have made it twelve rounds.
