personally, I dont think a guy whos holding and hitting should get in any more trouble than a guy who is just holding.

To be fair to Shavers, Ellis was looking to do the same to him but Shavers was just faster with his uppercut.

personally, I think if two guys are tied up but are able to punch effectively, then the ref should just let it be and instead get more angry at a guy who simply clinches.

I really don't like holding and hitting.
It takes away so much skill and finess of the game, leaves it to just tough guys exchanging shots with a 90% hit ratio. Pointless.
That's not an art form, really.
Probably why I'm not a big fan of Hatton, at least anymore.
I prefer to see ref's encourage them verbally to come out of it, threaten punishments or subtly pushed them apart so fighters do it half of their own accord, rather than completely splitting them up. Thar ruins the flow, and makes it too stop/start.

its against the rules so.....
as long as both can punch and get out of it quickly, then theres not much you can do about it......it would be worse to break up the action the moment they clinch...referees should issue a warning though, so they cant do it that much...the referee that worked collazo berto was spot on.......berto was forced to fight, thus it was an exciting fight.....the moment berto got uncomfortable against forbes, he started clinching and hitting, and since no one warned him, he went on to cruise an uneventful ud.....
fighters should learn how to infight properly....it is annoying as **** when people say hatton is an infighter....
