ANY WIN over Floyd Mayweather Jr., at THIS point... is ONLY a GOOD win.. not GREAT.

If Roys win, where he moved UP in weight to beat an undefeated 44-0, BIGGER ACTIVE Pound for Pound fighter and Champion of his weight class in James Toney, is dubbed as a "good" win and not a "great" win... because James Toney couldn't keep his weight under control.

    THEN, NO WIN....

At this point... over Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a "GREAT" win, because he has 2 years (meaning if a fight got made TODAY... youd be lookin at most likely August or September IMO.. at that point you're around 20 months)of inactivity. It would be a "good" win, and nothing more.

As far as this forums logic is concerned anyway.

I think it's because it was widely reported that Toney was extremely weight drained going into that fight. I dont think that Roy's fault though. It's a great win regardless.

To be fair Reed the poll for the thread in question is like 27-4 or something like that in favour of great win. Which it of course was.

Well it' FACTUAL that Floyd has 2 years + of inactivity...

MAYBE this will stop the people who hate on floyd to STOP chasing Floyd for a fight with their favorite fighter.. because, you wouldnt gain what you WANTED out of it.

There would ALWAYS be that asterisk... you didn't beat a prime active Floyd...

cosign, and that would also be the excuse for him losing.

That would be true if Mayweather loses in his first fight back, if Mayweather comes back and wins fights like he used to with the same form he showed before his layoff and then loses, then it would still be a great win.
