Well, if Cotto's blood found its way onto the outside of his wraps for that fight (i.e. through an embrace or otherwise being in close proximity of his bloody head), then it'd be pretty easy to see if these current wraps with the blood stain on it are the same ones.
so what????? he tapped his face after the fight like " heres looking at you kid?" how do you get it on your pinkie knuckle ?? what i remember, cotto couldn't get out of the ring fast enough. and by the time they hugged or whatever i'm sure they cleaned Cotto's face with a towel.
Then how was he heavy-handed enough in the Williams fight to have a solid-chinned giant like Paul rocked somewhat in the 11th?
Larry, all you offer these threads is needless polemic and ranting. Why can't you STFU?
maybe williams chin is suspect it did look like sharmba did kinda buzz williams with one of those looping right hands

Right...?
WRONG! That definitely didn't happen. That would be a waste of a blood test.
you DO know that they take their gloves off and greet each other after the fight... right?
wet pad + blood = lightly stained with blood pad
That's impossible. I saw the fight when Cotto went up and hugged Margarito. They didn't touch hands, nor was Cotto's face bloody at the time since they wiped it with a towel. Margarito didn't say to him "oh you got some blood left over on your face, let me clean it off with my hand-wrap."
The only way that thing got bloody is if he cut his hand up pretty bad and it bled through, which is very possible- it happens to me sometimes when I box if I land an awkward punch and the wrap rubs against my knuckles, although my wraps aren't as good as a pro's.
Totally fella. I'm amazed at how much other sources, and just fans have been able to find out at ease. The photo's carry at least some weight. It's plain to see in certain said fights the wraps were not only oddly blood stained in the same places, but flatter, less white more grey, look non elasticated, and hard.
I just watched back the PW fight with Marg, and I noticed some peculiar comments in the commentary. Lampley I think it was, during the walk in said something to the effect of "not a flashy technical boxer, not a very hard puncher". Then during the fight said with 8oz gloves instead of 10oz some thought they'd be a KO but neither guy can hurt the other. Then Merchant I think it was, said "previous Tony opponents have said his shots have a 'thudding' effect.
I'm not summarising anything but further oddities, how often do you hear things like this said during fights, and sometimes contradicting, it's just odd. One minute he's a hard puncher the next he's not. It's clear there's a lot or irregularities and I'm concerned it's already conveniently going quiet in the media whilst they apparently spend a month just testing the wraps.
You mean Margo was using 8 oz gloves in that fight too? Why was everyone giving him a chance by letting him, use 8 oz gloves?
