His opponents get very preoccupied with the right hand and he throws it real quick, steps in when he throws it too, it's hard to catch that shot, the angle he throws it from doesn't help his opponents.

Umm because he is fast for one. And if your opponent doesn't have great defense and reflexes to catch your punches just as you're about to throw them.
