Richard Schaefer puts forwards a much more meritable argument, I agree with him. He's a pretty straight talking guy and he's not afraid to call it like it is, quoting other people too adding real weight. In business you cannot mess around like this in the media, not communicating much or being flexible to any real degree, and that's lost them, Pac, Hatton, the sport and it's fans this fight.

Tszyu is not nobody and nor is Castillo. They were both rated by The Ring as the #1 contenders in the division at the time he beat him. The people who said they were shot after the fight weren't saying that before the fight. You're just a hater, making biased statements like that. The Ring's P4P ratings are compiled by a panel of many of the most respected experts in boxing, and they currently rate Hatton as #10 P4P.

lazcano was a tune-up fight - after his first defeat, why shouldn't he take a tune-up fight. It sold out a 55,000 arena within half an hour of the tickets going on sale - something that normally only the top rock stars can do.

Maliggnaggi was rated by The Ring as the #1 contender in the division at the time Hatton beat him, and a large percentage of US boxing writers thought Maliggnaggi would outbox Hatton. It's easy to be wise afterwards, but it just shows your bias.

They were on UK PPV. This arrogance that people like you have, that you think US PPV is the only PPV just stinks. The US is not the whole world, and it's time people in the US realised that there's a big world outside their borders.

pac ****ed hatton/schaeffer/gbp up LOL. GBP's camp are the most affected of the non-fight NOT pac. those greedy m'fcker's eyes are twinkling w/ money. same thing w/ Arum, he lost on a big revenue that's why he's pissed off.

but PAC would be contented on other fights, nevermind if it's not as big money-wise. he's legacy is cemented already. hatton had the chance to up his legacy and he blew it LOL.

          GO PAC!

I dont agree that he brings in as much or more money than Hatton only because of disparity between monies in terms of their worth...
            UK $$ > US $$ > Pilipinas $$

And dont forget that Hatton has a big latino ( i dont use the term hispanic, that **** is wack) following too, they dont call him Manchesters Mexican for nothing....

you underestimate the ******** addictions err revenue that pinoys bring to vegas...they might watch manny but more than half those people are ******** friday thru sunday

              PR Boxing

Pac is already being greedy just like DLH/Mayweather!!!! He wants more $$$ cuz Hatton is no walk in the park. Pac knows Hatton would be better prepared for this fight than Mayweather's fight! He wont get nearly as much fighting anyone else at this time not even with Margarito!! By the way PAC fans dont try with Margarito or Cotto!!!! PAC will get KTFO!!!

Aight dude, s'all good. He probably has said a little too much to be fair your right. But then you have to consider the fact he's not really said a word in weeks of negotiations hoping it would work itself out. He could have. Manny has messed around and I don't blame people for expressing annoyance at his lack of communication, professionalism and flexibility. Ultimately that's what's brought everyone to this.

You don't see numerous people, even the boxers promoter and trainer, dis agreeing with them and expressing some criticism too often - I think that's testament to just how frustrated people have become over this.

Those other fights are not nearly as big for boxing as this one would have been. This fight would have helped boxing become mainstream again, like it used to be. Killing the fights that everyone wants to see is very bad for boxing. That's what stopped Hopkins-Jones II happening, and other mega fights that the fans wanted to see. Without the fans boxers would be nothing - so they should show more respect for the fans.

i agree...the frustration displayed on these boards alone are a decent indicator of the drama these past few weeks..

all im saying is; for such a big money fight, you would think that the CEO of a major conglomerate would show just a wee bit more professionalism....that interview had scorn written all over it...im guessing that not being able to sign manny and having manny rip their boss' testicles in front of 1.25 million people might have something to do with it....oh well...they get paid like pros, suck it up and act like one....save the fight....dont go ranting to espn like a little b1tch...we ALL want to see the fight
