    Pacman's last 3 fights:

Decision over JMM (Jr Lightweight title)
KO over David Diaz (Lightweight title)
KO over Oscar De La Hoya (1st ever fight at Welterweight)

    Hatton's last 3 fights:

KO loss to Floyd Mayweather (at the the time P4P #1)
Decision over Juan Lazcano (Lazcano hadn't fought in nearly 2 years??)
    KO over Pauli Malignaggi (LOL)

...and Hatton was worth a 60-40 over Pacquiao? :wank:

This is why I made a thread previously about PPV rates, etc being looked over the actual fights. People are bitching that Hatton deserves the bigger pie since he has a huge following and would generate great PPV and gate numbers...but competitively IMO it was just one last stepping stone to an inevitable fight with Floyd (which really is the fight the majority of us would like to see).

    Just my 2 cents

I agree. And GBP is saying that the money coming in from England is way more than the Phillipines or Pinoys in the states? There are like a billion Phillipinos in LA alone, and everyone of them is gonna order any Pac fight. Believe me, when Pacquiao fights, he brings in as much or even more revenue than Hatton. Plus, Pacquiao has a big hispanic following too. Hatton only has his hooligan soccer fans.

I agree that they should've somehow made this fight, but realistically...look how many fights there are out there for Pacquiao.

How many fights can you put out there for Hatton that'll generate a big buzz like a fight with Pacquiao? I'm sorry, but an Oscar vs Hatton fight is just NOT INTRIGUING. If you think so, chances are you're lying to yourself.

That's why when people **** on Pac's win over Oscar it makes me laugh because that ONE win totally opened the door for fights none of us even pondered last year.

but look at hatton's last fight, was it full, did it do good financially ????
the answer is yes, now picture pacquiao vs malignaggi would it sell no,
pacquiao vs lazcano, it doesn't catch the attention, hatton brings alot of
money to the table with his fan base, im sorry but pacquiao does not have that
                dlh star power

But the fight wasn't based on The Jr Welterweight (though it would be for the belt) crown more than it just being a huge money fight.

I haven't seen any of the media mention once "FOR THE KING OF THE JR WELTERWEIGHT CROWN". Some people might even forget what weight the fight would've been at (or cared much less) lol.

Roach does. He thinks it would be a tough, exciting and competitive fight and that Pac would win by a late round knock-out.

Also Pac-Mayweather would do very well, but not nearly as well financially as Pac-Hatton. Pac-Hatton would do a lot better than even Pac-De La Hoya did, which is why Pac was offered a larger guarantee to fight Hatton than he was offered to fight De La Hoya. Plus Pac-Mayweather would do a lot better if Pac had beat Hatton first than it would do now.

Having said that, all this bad-mouthing between Golden Boy and Pac is unnecessary and bad for boxing. Both sides should grow up.
