Why has Hatton made so much more money in his career then such an exciting legend?

Obviously you're a troll, so goodbye!

This is starting to piss me off though. Pac is just getting moronic with this stuff, or whoever is advising him to do it. They are asking for more when it's Hatton's belt on the line, Hatton will be bringing the money to the fight and it's the division in which Hatton is the King. I'm starting to feel a slight disliking for this, Pac and his team. Humble my ass.

When Hatton's team say they can get as much money somewhere else they are talking out of their ass, but, they can get very close to getting the same amount and if the fight is right they can get the same amount of $. Pac cannot get anywhere near the amount of cash that he will get with this fight anywhere else, and that includes a fight with Floyd, a rematch with Oscar or anyone else on the horizon. This is ****ed. 50/50 is a good, fair, solid deal. If anyone should be asking more it's Hatton, but they're being perfectly fair. Why not Peso Pacquiao?

yeah right.. just like the malignaggi fight hahaha, i think it did only below 200K PPV buys ^^, WTF are you saying that he can bring in the same money with any other fighter? thats bull**** he will get paid more because he is fighting the PACMAN.

hatton will bring in 1 mil. u.k. ppv buys at about L20 pounds each.

it'll also do decent ppv numbers in the u.s.

floyd-pac would struggle to get to 1 mil. buys in the u.s.
I doubt that, A Floyd vs. Pac fight is what people want to see. With proper marketing I think it can even break DLH vs. May numbers. Pac has gotten tremendous exposure especially after DLH beatdown. Out of the 1 million buys of Pac vs. DLH how many of those PPV buyers actually follow boxing. A large portion bought it cause of the hype. Its all about pushing it out there. DLH vs. May even had commercials asking people who will win, not sure if you caught that.

Not only did HBO do the whole 24/7 routine but ESPN held interviews with Delahoya and even did E:60 Special with Pac. The night before the fight VS network show some classic Pac and DLH fights.

Stuff like this should be done more often not only for Delahoya events but all big events.

Alot of fights can do better numbers with better marketing and other network support, ESPN, VS, etc.

pac is known but he is not a mainstream star.

floyd is somewhat a mainstream star through dancing with the stars and wwe but he is not on oscar's level.

the economy is also not as good as it was barely a year or so ago.

if oscar-pac did 1.2 million. floyd-pac will do considerably less. still great numbers but it won't go over 1 million.

What this tells me is that Pacquiao has learned to fight as well at the bargaining table for his piece of the pie as inside the ring. He and his team have come a long way. Remember the time when Bob Arum, representing Erik Morales, forced Pacquiao to use Winning gloves? Crazy deal, and one of the reasons he lost the first fight. Also, remember the time a clause was inserted in his fight with that thai (Singsurat 3K battery correct me if I'm wrong) which stated that the thais could call the bout cancelled and rescheduled to another date unilaterally? The thais used that clause to wreck Pacquiao's preparation, knowing that pacquiao was already finding it difficult to make the flyweight limit. The result: an overweight Pacquiao showed up at the weigh in of the rescheduled bout. He lost his title at the scale. The following day a dehydrated pacquiao went up the ring and got smoked.

He has learned to bargain the hard way man, so if he does not dance easily to the tune the people around him make, understand where he came from.

Precisely it is pride that drives pacquiao to fight for what he thinks is due him. He has fought almost 60 fights already and has faced all willing to fight him, including the so-called legends. Ricky Hatton is not in his league in terms of fighting exprerience.

                      Hatton needs to wake up!

Pacman deserves a 60-40 split, period. At thsi point Pacamn is the hotter of the two AND he won his megafight, while Hatton got embarassed in his. Hatton NEEDS a big win to show he deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Pacquiao, Mayweather or De La Hoya. Sure, I know there are guys like Nate Campbell, Zab Judah and Junior Witter who would love to fight Hatton but NONE of those guys are top teir fighters. Pacquiao has much better options. the likes of Mayweather, Margarito or a DLH rematch. Who has the upper hand?
