If you check my figures below, Mayweather clearly received more than Hatton. This was the deal on the purse split between Mayweather and Hatton.

1. Mayweather received $11 million in guaranteed money while Hatton received $6 million.

2. Hatton receives all the 1.25 million sale in U.K. pay per view at 20 euros a pop or $30 U.S.
So that's about $37.5 million U.S. dollars.

3. Mayweather receives all the U.S. pay per view revenue. According to Mark Taffet, U.S. ppv generated $47 million. ... id=3158134

Let's calculate, I don't know what the cable company split, promoter split, etc....on ppv sales.... so let's just add the total ppv revenues with the guaranteed money for both fighters.

Mayweather: 11 million + 47 million = $58 million

Hatton: 6 million + 37.5 million = $43.5 million

Clearly, Mayweather made more than Hatton. So how is 50/50 fair with this current pound 4 pound if it wasn't fair during the Mayweather fight.

That's wrong. British people use the Pound not the Euro and at the time of the fight British Sterling was worth twice that of the dollar.

If Hatton recieved 'all' of the PPV in the UK, what's in it for Sky Box Office then? Hatton takes a cut of the PPV sales (50/50 or something similar). To give him the entire PPV purse on top of his boxing purse would be a financial disaster for all those involved in the promotion game.

NO.... hatton is a draw, but it was because he was fighting the best fighter in the world.... that made the fight interesting... hattons a draw but it was who he was fighting and what was on the line that made it that big

yes, and it was the fact that it was him, the Hatton the British public all know and love, fighting the best fighter in the world

if you're saying the situation itself was the biggest draw in that fight i kind of agree, but in the UK the fact that it was Hatton involved in that situation made it that much bigger

Hatton provided the basis and gave it the oomph, while the circumstances lent themselves to promoting it as a huge event

I tend to believe he's still pissed over DLH gettin the bigger cut in their fight when he was the smaller guy takin all the risk. He won it big and reasonably so, feels he can call some shots on this one.

Oddly enough, I don't see it that way. Sure, he IS the challenger, but Hatton has an obsession about becoming #1 P4P, so in that sense, Hatton is a challenger, too, because Manny is right at the top of the game. Regardless, beating Pac wouldn't actually make him #1 anyway.

As Reed said in the other thread, for Pac, this seems to be more about respect than money. I don't think he is a greedy person, as some have suggested. It's not in his nature to be greedy, this is all about respect for his overall status in boxing.
