As far as predictions go,those two fights are different, I'd say. The Pacquiao fight was seen as a MUCH bigger mismatch.
But I agree with you: Bringing up a poll to prove any sort of point is useless. Man, if I was met with a Zab Judah poll for every argument I had.. Well, you get my point. Lol..
