nothin, and he's not. he can crack, but has little else. he covers up, leaves his body open, and has had busted ribs more than once. he is inactive, and wild with many of his punches. aside his power i am not impressed, and if pavlik is smart he can beat him.
Pavlik can outbox him sure, but AA hits so freakin hard, and people don't tend to get up from his shots when he gets off.
I can see Pavlik beating him throughout most of the fight, then the thunder comes from AA and it's over.
I could be wrong but that's pretty much how I see it goin down.
Great news!
Abraham is one explosive combo puncher, slow starter, but damn when he ignites. He has a very tight defense, and hart enough to fight with a broken jaw.
I predicted Abraham to beat Pavlik before Hopkins messed him up, and I still do.
Aside from KP getting beat up by B-Hop @ 175, what has happened that AA is all of a sudden so much better than Pavlik @ 160? Is this all based on that 1 fight?
Some of us never overrated Pavlik, and a few of us have considered AA the top middleweight since 2005. So there' no "all of a sudden" here. Abraham has always been a better fighter than Pavlik, though Kelly will have a chance in this fight.
Abraham-Sturm looks out as Abrahams manager Sauerland has begun negotiations with team Pavlik for a summerfight.
German tabloid Bild reports that there have been 2 meetings already. One in London and one in Cologne. "Those meetings have been really good", Sauerland says. "The fight is likely to go ahead in the summer of 2009."
Arthur Abraham is exited: "My goal is to become superchampion. I'll destroy Kelly Pavlik and then it'll be clear who the best 160 pounder is!"
Pavlik must first defend his title on feb. 21 against his mandatory Marco Antonio Rubio.
