    Not a "no win" situation for Oscar.

    As De La Hoya vs Pacquioa approaches, there has been talk of Oscar's apparent "no win" situation facing pound for pound champion Manny Pacquiao on December 6th. The theory here is that Oscar is too big and too strong for Manny, if he wins, he will recieve criticism for his choice of opponent, and the notion that he "won a fight he was expected to win."

    This is an exaggeration. Truth is, if Oscar were to stop Manny in any fashion, One should consider this fight an impressive preformance by Oscar. Yes, Manny started his career at 106, but he has shown skill and maturity under Roach, winning his last 8 fights.
    He has proven to be a powerful fighter, with lightning speed and an awkward style.

    If Oscar wins, and does so in impressive fashion, he deserves the appropriate credit.

      Easy you are my homie but **** OUTTA HERE with that one. Oscar will outweigh Pac BY AT LEAST 15 pounds on fight night. Manny isn't Floyd Mayweather, as in he isn't slick enough to avoid all those big shots for 12 rounds.

          Of course it isn't a "no-win" situation. He'll make a ****load of money. If he loses, he still makes another windfall promoting Hatton-Pacquiao, or maybe Mayweather-Pacquiao.

          As for the criticism, do you think Oscar really cares all that much at this stage that the hardcore fans will bash him?

          If he cared that much, he wouldn't have taken the fight in the first place.

                Manny is a HOF fighter. He is fast, and more powerful than people think. Floyd was smaller than DLH and controlled the ring. Manny may lose, but I think there is a good chance he will last the distance.
                Lay off Oscar for fighting the number 1 p4p fighter in the world.

                  I think Oscar deserves all the criticism considering there are good fights like Margrito, Cotto, or even Hatton nearer his weight.

                  I think if he KO's Pac early, it wont be a great achievement for Oscar, it will only show what a complete mismatch the fight was.

                  Barrera, Morales, JMM none of them came close to stopping Pac. And Oscar threw everything at Forbes and didnt really hurt him.

                  What bugs me is the way they are trying to promote the fight like we are idiots. Like the all powerful De La Hoya overrides the necessity of separate weight divisions.

                  In any other fight they would point out the differences in weight, height etc, but they have even got Angelo Dundee to say size doesnt matter.....BULL****!!!
