    Pavlik was 172, Hopkins was 185 - Kelly lost to a bigger man

    At the time of the fight, the more thickly built Bernard Hopkins weighed 185 while Kelly Pavlik was 172.



    Hopkins seemed stonger than the slender Pavlik, and no wonder - he walks around at about 15 pounds heavier.

    HBO said Pavlik was 174 and Hopkins was 180 during the weigh-in's on Saturday.

        im sure the weights were alot closer

        from memory i thought it was

        175 Pavlik

        180 Hopkins

        i think that is what i saw,

        Pavlik knew the weight the fight was at, he knew Hopkins would weigh more in the ring on fight night before he signed to fight him

          If you mean by skill points, yes, Hopkins has more weight.

            HBO said Hopkins was 180.

            Anyway, i'm already fed up of these bull**** excuses. Kelly was dominated from start to finish. It was a great win, end of story.

              Tunney your getting on peoples **** now. First you do a post saying full credit to Hopkins.

              Then you make an alt saying how it was fixed, and have not denied this.

              You make another thread link to said alt, saying some people are saying this, suggesting you believ it.

              Now your tryign to use the weight excuse on faulty information. 174 and 180, and that's by no means not average. There's often a difference of around this in fights. Enzo Mac was loads lighter than Haye. I suppose that's the reason he got KTFO.

                I downloaded a HBO version of the fight, and I didn't hear that. Are you making that up, TheManchine?

                HBO said P Williams is fighting Phillips, but I don't think that's correct.

                    I saw the fight on HBO, that sounds right.

                    The always show the "unofficial weight on fight night" as part of the Tale of the Tape.
