NO need for another slapping contest. Lets eliminate the middle man.

Roy Jones will beat Calzaghe and then lets see a Hopkins vs Jones rematch.

If Calzaghe wins, lets see B-Hop get on a plane get himself over here. Make it happen!

That's if Calzaghe wins, I kind of think Jones might have one last hurrah in him.

Hopkins had his chance to beat Calzaghe and couldn't do it, Calzaghe has nothing to prove he beat him legitimately. I'm picking Cal over RJJ and when he wins Cal should retire because once again it comes back to my argument that the older fighters need to step down, we need new blood for boxing to survive.

Unlikely. It wasn't a different Hopkins in there, it was just an easier fight against a lesser experienced guy who didn't have the skills to adapt and change it up as Calzaghe did. Hopkins fought very similar for the first few rounds against Calzaghe but Calzaghe was able to adapt and make Hopkins fight Calzaghe's fight. If anything, Hopkins gets beaten more clearly by Calzaghe.

Either way, it doesn't lessen what Hopkins just did which was absolutely stunning. Truly a masterpiece of boxing and strategy by one of the greats. Hopefully Pavlik can learn and come back better and stronger. It does worrry me a little that he got so completely and thoroughly beaten though. It may end up ruining him, though let's hope not otherwise we'll miss what will be one of the more exciting young champs of the sport today. Pavlik just needs to stick to his division and take out all the guys there after learning from this fight.

Who would've ever thought it would be such a dominant win?

Calzaghe didn't get enough credit for shortening his punches right down after 5 rounds. And despite what critics says he got through and forced the pace and it ultimately lead to Hopkins cheating on the floor for five minutes feigning a low blow.

Calzaghe clearly beat Hopkins. He was the one fighting, and he was the guy in control of that fight when it finished.

Pavlik with his long straight punches got merked.
