Here we go again.. another dominant KO fighter meets veteran boxer.

Giving Pavlik respect may be an attempt to take some wind out of his sails. I doubt it will work but it cant hurt. Hopkins will make it a fight.. if Pavlik is unable to KO Hopkins which is likely; not because of Pavlik abilit but because of Hopkins ability, then what will Pavlik do? Like Hopkins said, he cant learn how to box.. Tito fell the same way. If Pavlik is unable to land that big right.. then he looks like Tito and Tarver did. This is Tito, Tarver number 3. Everyone thought, "oh Hopkins gonna get knocked out" it never happened.. in fact he was never even hurt in either fight and damn near won every round? So are we to think the same type of fighter will KO Hopkins now? Of course.. boxing fans love a KO fighter. Here we go again.. another dominant KO fighter meets veteran boxer.

what this writer doesn't seem to understand is that this kind of talk MAY BE HOPKINS PLAYING MIND GAMES!!!!! when someone does something out of character, it always throws ppl for a loop!

but more importantly......forget "mind games" this and "mind games" that......
hopkins beat trinidad and tarver b/c he was the better fighter. that's all it boils down to in the end. you can do all the talking beforehand, but the better fighter will win, ask antonio tarver about chad dawson...

hopkins would've beaten trinidad anyway, flag or no flag......

this saturday, thats what its gonna come down to....who's the better fighter? the freight train? or this older version of bernard hopkins? it doesn't mean pavlik would've beaten hops a few years ago had they fought, but if pavlik wins, HE'S THE BETTER FIGHTER RIGHT NOW........thats what it comes down to. mindgames are overrated, you got 2 good fighters here, the question is whether hopkins's age will limit his ability to be effective or not? that's it....give it a rest.

Could it be he's just chillin out on the mouth because nobody appreciated the "white boy" comments last time and it caused a lot of fuss, and most likely lost Hopkins a few fans? Could it have even cost him a decision against Calzaghe? I think this is entirely possible.
