Arthur Abraham was offered a sly $1M to fight Pavlik by Top Rank and now they claim Abraham doesn't want the fight. Is this some kind of joke? It looks like Pavlik has ran to Arum after seeing Abraham demolishing Miranda and begged him not to set the fight up.

I'm sure when at the right time, Pavlik will fight Abraham. That is a very interesting fight and the best middlewieght fight he could possibly have at this point.

Pavlik hasn't ducked anyone yet and I imagine he won't start anytime soon..

Unifications overrule mandatories.

You can't very well unify a title if you are stripped of it for not facing your mandatory. Now, what could have been done to line up this fight sooner is 1. he could have asked the IBF for an exemption to fight Pavlik. 2. He could have offered Marquez step aside money.
With that, I don't think either fighter is ducking the other. I believe this fight will happen by mid 2009 at the latest.
