My amateur boxing trainer used to tell me that Boxing is for the poor. Poor people are often uneducated.
Exactly.. its very primitive. People who get into trouble and cant focus there mind turn to boxing. You always hear about the 'new' gym that opened in a rough neighbourhood, and how the kids love it. So the kids can't focus there minds and turn to boxing as they will never be educated.

To make it to the top you need sufficient brain cells to navigate the tricky business pitfalls and put yourself in a position to get paid your just due. I am constantly impressed with the business savvy of some fighters who can see through the BS from promoters with far better educations to not get undersold.

Hey, if you love it and are good at it, why wouldn't you want to get paid to do what you love?

education is about enrichment and self improvement as much as a way of social mobility. Pac wants to be a lawyer I believe, he has a lot of study ahead, I doubt his millions will deter him from achieving his goal.

His teachers and classmates shout and ask to take pictures with him when he enters the classroom. He spends more time signing autographs then doing homework. Do you think he has to work for his grades?

a valid point ... but the fact is that MOST fighters rely on a 'manager' or and 'promoter' to deal with the business end of things.

                  Do you agree?
