If Floyd is already Greatest of His Generation

What else can he do...If he cant become the greatest fighter ever..??
He can become a greater fighter. Right now many people do not consider him to be a top 10 ATG, but some people do. If he beats Cotto he will increase the number of people who consider him top 10 ATG.

I think a decisive win over Cotto cements him with a top 5 ATG, instead of having an argument about being a top 10 ATG.

well, if he's retired, thanks Floyd for some great fights at 130.................

not even close to be mentioned as teh greatest of all time, but definitely one of the best of the last 20 yrs.

If people cant recognize his greatness and skills , then u are not a boxing fan or have some personal vendetta towards Floyd...

Floys never captured my attention like teh way say, James Toney did, but one would be blind not to recognize skills like Mayweather possessed......

Cements him? No, not in my opinion. But that's what ATG lists are, opinion.

Fact is that we agree that beating Cotto is worth doing from a legacy point of view.

                    Top 50 - 70 ATG.

Well done, Floyd, you can go out with your head held high.

I hate to see him retire without fighting Cotto/Margarito. That said, like it would ****ing matter. Haters are gonna hate. He could beat them both tomorrow, and by Monday there would be something new for everyone to sling **** about. The fashion in which he won, someone new that he "needs" to fight to cement his legacy, etc. I say **** it, let him retire in peace. Boxing, and the WW division will go on without him.
