Still, Arum also wished him well in retirement.

"I commend Floyd Mayweather for being so forthright," Arum said. "He's had a wonderful career. He's decided to retire and to announce publicly his intention. I think we should all applaud him for his candor and his forthrightness. Boxing is a very dangerous sport and it involves serious risk of injury every time a person steps into the ring. Floyd has accumulated a large nest egg through his fighting and promotional abilities the past couple of years and I, for one, see no reason why he should subject himself to additional risk when he appears to be set financially." - Bob Arum

lol I don't know, I don't trust Arum. He's way to oily and fat to be trusted lol J/P Bobby.

I think this is all bull**** though, I think Oscar will fight Miguel and then Mayweather will be back. I don't know. This doesn't sound right at all.

you don't make any sense at all Ray.........floyd is cheaper than that...........he will dig up chico(R.I.P) prop him up, and punch the bones until they are dust.....and then fight angel manfredy in a rematch.....do wrestling again, duck cotto and margs........and imitate sugar leonard.........now george foreman fought 5 fighters in one day.........tell me floyd doesn't top what big george did.............

NO DIRTY- His win over corrales was tainted by Corrales' weight and prison problems. Corrales nearly died (seriously) in getting down to the weight, and, as his trainer said, he could hardly get Corrales out of his room (where he was playing with computer games and brooding) to train. A couple of weeks before the fight Corrales had a difficult dental operation and had to break training for a while too. I've wrote all about this a few days ago, with authentic comments by a distinguished writer who was present at the weigh-in. Also observationl comments by Larry Merchant. If Corrales had been normal, I think he'd have mangled Mayweather. Mayweather would have been running like hell anyway. So please scratch the Corrales fight.

His BEST fight was against Emanuel Augustus. I've heard him say this every time he was asked. And if you watched this fight you'd agree.
