    How Exactly Can Cotto Win?

Somebody take me through this. For real. I don't make threads like this but in this case we've reached an impasse. I have no idea how some of my friends here see Cotto winning. None at all sincerely.

Take me through it in technical terms, because when threads got made referring to Cotto's ability to stand up to pressure, and Cotto's chin, there were non answers and tounge in cheek responses. Some Cotto supporters have already stepped forward and said they can't pick him. It's reality time.

Use his better boxing skills, superior speed and defense, ability to use the ring, etc..

I think Cotto will have to be very wary of the uppercut, among other punches.

Cotto punches Margarito until he falls over and doesn't get up.

I think the uppercut is the punch that Cotto is most open for with the way he comes in..and thats one of Margs money punches.

I want Cotto to win..because I want to see May-Cotto...but I dont think Cotto stands a chance....

This fight STILL isnt signed yet.....for a reason.

I dont see Cotto winning at all..... Cotto has been hurt by smaller fighters, Margarito is a beast and pressures ur ass til your dead.... Margarito by Murder.

Exactly, Margarito throws plenty of vicious uppercuts and thats gonna be the key to murdering Cotito

Cotto has been hurt in literally almost ALL his recent fights .....minus Urkal and Gomez.

Margarito will catch Cotto....Gomez even caught Cotto....Marg will hit him an Cotto take it....

I think Margarito will beat the dog piss out of Cotto.

I see Cotto coming with the same plan that Marquez did for Vazquez. He will try and use his jab and try and get his tighter and straighter shots off before Margarito gets his off. He should try and keep from getting in prolonged inside exchanges.

Like Marquez, Cotto is also adept at inside fighting but against Vazquez/Margarito they would be well advised to not stay inside for too long against the naturally bigger and more durable opponent.

Like Thread Stealer said, he should use his superior boxing skills to beat Margarito but he has to stay focused and alert for the whole fight.

Ok, well having slightly better Boxing skills than the guy you're fighting doesn't nescessarily add up to being Pernell Whitaker or Floyd Mayweather. Some say Cotto is a better Boxer than Margarito - but how good is that? Good enough to score and avoid getting hit for all 36 minutes? Not that good.

What happens when Cotto starts getting nailed with hard punches and combos? His offense sounds great. What about his defense - is he Willie Pep now? This slight alleged disparity in abilities does not add up to the kind of distance required to totally outclass your opponent. Not between these two.

Honestly, I'm wondering about stuff like this.

You aren't willing to make up nonsense. I admire that. You know. You know.
