How can i be a nut hugger when these my 2 fav fighters?
Why isnt anyone giving me some facts on why roy is better instead of because he won titles and beat no names except bhop and toney.
He didnt give toney a rematch cause if he did he would of lost and come on the guy cudnet make the wieght no more but the fans wanted the fight so he struggled to make the wieght he barely sc****d the wieght.
He was leaving the division but then roy started calling him out so he came out not like roy.

Toney was great but far too incosistant i am pretty confident that if he had a better work ethic he would be remembered as an ATG in any division but he didn't.
Mike McCallum? the same Mike McCallum that KO'd julian jackson who is considered by many to be the most powerful puncher in th middleweight division.
Woods isn't a paper champ granted he isn't great but he is a consistant solid champ that doesn't underperform RJJ was just better.
Virgil Hill? he was the legit cruiser champ and beat Mormeck (also lost to him) but he is certainly good.

Toney was juts far too lazy his early career was AMAZING i have no doubt had he continued like that he would've been consistantly great, every fighter has weight problems so if they can deal with it soo should Toney. Hopkins started out at LHW and moved down and KEPT within or just out of the limit even when not training. Calzaghe has retained his skills and speed even though weight struggles have with him for the past 5 years.
Haye had to lose 20 pounds of muscle to fight Mormeck and was on unsteady legs and he still came through.

try and justify it any way you want pal, but the fact is that toney as great as he was, was never the fighter roy jones was! he was, and will always be inferior to jones!

You call the people Jones has beaten no names, then Toney's opponents should be no names as well apart from an old Holyfield.

And Jones is the better, more gifted fighter.

sterling has to be the biggest nuthuggers i have ever seen followed by Wlad owns.

Jones top 10 victories: (no specific order)

                James Toney
                Bernard Hopkins
                Virgil Hill
                John Ruiz
                Antonio Tarver
                Clinton Woods
                Felix Trinidad
                Julio Cesar Gonzalez
                Mike McCallum
                Montell Griffin

                Toney's Top 10 Victories:

                Michael Nunn
                Mike McCallum
                Reggie Johnson
                Iran Barkley
                Vassiliy Jirov
                Dominick Guinn
                Evander Holyfield
                Dave Tiberi
                Tim Littles
                Rydell Booker

Jones was the better fighter, had the better career/accomplishments. End of thread.

If Hopkins beats Calzaghe then you can make an arguement for him having a better career, but not Toney unless you have him in your sig or avatar

I'm not even a huge fan of either guy, so let me just get that out there.

                  However.. Career-wise..

Jones > Toney. Pretty much all there is to it.

Jones was the better middleweight, if you are to go off of proof. Since he beat him. He did good at 168, probably his best division and then he did very well at 175. He then moved STRAIGHT up to heavyweight and beat a belt holder.

Toney, did well for himself at 160, but was beaten heads up. Kinda counters that out.

He then went to cruiserweight, had A great fight and has had numerous chances to get a world title, or shot and has failed.

                  JONES > Toney.

BTW sterling is not really a fan of Jones even though he has him in the sig, i saw him chatting so much **** about jones during the trinidad-jones fight like "**** glass chin jones lmao trinidad has my respect" and other threads about how calzaghe is better, would ko glass chin jones and some other stuff about jones.
