Jermain would knock Roy out faster than Pavlik would to be honest. People should not get excited of how good he looked beating Trinidad. Keep in mind that Trinidad was out for 2 years, had been out boxed badly in his last fight, is way past his prime, past his prime weight class, and had no power at light heavyweight. Jones is looking good fighting these no hopers like Hanshaw and washed up Trinidad because he is picking and choosing opponents that he know he can beat. If he fights Jermain, Pavlik ect, and any of these top young fighters in thier prime, he would lose and lose badly.

Jermain knocks Roy out in 2 rounds. He is too young and would overwelme Roy as this stage of Roy's career. Jermain looked great losing to Pavlik. He stayed off of the ropes, threw straight punches, and most important, he kept his damn hands up.

I see this fight going the way Tarver vs Jones 2 went, with Roy coming out showing flashes of his old self, but the younger and stronger prime fighter eventually catching up with Roy and knocking him out in brutal fashion in Jermains best showing since dethroning Hopkins back in 2005.

    Taylor TKO 2 Jones Jr.

I disagree Jermaine could possibly go down. Sure he displayed good defense against Pavlik in the second fight but that's because Kelly is very simplistic in his approach. Just a couple of two punch combinations. Roy is far from conventional and is one of the best at coming from different angles. He'll find Jermaine very easily.

Jones isn't throwing enough these days to phase Taylor.. Taylor just went 12 rounds with a volume punching machine. I think he can handle a few odd angle tricky punches. Even if he had stopped Tito I would have had my doubts, but he didn't even manage that. Also, why did he take the first 4 rounds off in the Tito fight? U have to assume he's a little weary of his stamina, that won't fly very well with guys right in their prime..IMO

Taylor is an idiot if he takes this fight. I give him props for consistently fighting the best, but the guy needs a tune up to get his confidence back and feel out the weight. RJJ has been looking pretty good lately and would school him with just his speed alone. Taylor just doesn't have the skills to KO a top fighter.

That was strategy in my opinion. He could have finished off Tito but I think he was maybe a little winded. But he is in far better shape stamina wise than JT. I don't even think that's debateable. Jermaine is good but he is technically flawed and inconsistent with his game plan for the most fight. Roy can win the fight just through his ring smarts. Remember Jermaine doesn't throw as many punches as he should as well. If it's a low volume type of fight. It's goes to Roy because he is by far more accurate in his attack.

The fight will likely take place at a catch-weight of 170-pounds. fan of both fighters. dont really like this fight to much. i would much rather see Jones and Taylor fight lesser opponents to polish any dust they may have.
