He basically brawls guys on the inside, street fight style. I just don't think Cotto could hang inside, plus he would probably get tied up
Pakau's chin is actually ****... he had 2 first round KO losses before Williams (one was to a huge right hand puncher, and the other I don't know anything about).

It'll be interesting to see what becomes of Paul Williams when he continues fighting great fighters (Margarito was his cherry buster in that category).

Well I just hope Cotto fights him instead of fighting Mayweather because Cintron is already ducking him so that'll make him the odd man out

To be honest, it looks like Williams will be fighting Quintana, and Cotto fighting De La Hoya.

No one knows what the **** Floyd is going to do.

Quintana was a replacement for Cintron.

De La Hoya shouldn't be in the picture.... agreed.

Mitchell was physically dominated by Mayweather, who is a small welterweight. He is too small/short to be fighting at 147, and he is a bit over-the-hill... although I think that everyone gives him a lot less credit than he deserves... an old fighter moving up to fight against prospects usually do a lot worse.

Anyways, Mitchell actually made quite a bit on contact on Williams, which obviously didn't phase him, because he has such a great chin (which he didn't even need against Mitchell)... It also seems to be a problem if someone relies on outworking their opponent as an A strategy, because the perfect counter to that seems to be defense.

So his two main fights could pose serious problems for him.

Mayweather has the defense, which means he might be able to beat him. Also, his arms are measured at 26 inches (in arm length, not wingspan, the statistic that is actually important for comparing reach), which is the same as Mayweather's. I think Mayweather would have a lot less problems with Williams than most think (because some are predicting a wipeout for Williams).

On the other side of the coin, Miguel Cotto hits hard as hell, and has some good technique to go along with it now. We all know that Williams has a hell of a chin, but his body really hasn't been tested. Cotto's body shots do a ton of damage, and it could end up that he gets dropped for the count because of the body shots. The other advantage to body shots is that they sap the energy of an opponent, meaning that if the body shots do take their toll on Williams, he will have a hard time throwing a zillion punches, which means that Cotto would start racking up the rounds. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Williams hasn't shown the the technique to outslick an opponent if need be.

All of this being said, it isn't a sure deal that any fighter wins any of these fights. I still don't know who I would pick for either of these two fights for Williams if either were ever signed.

                  Thoughts?
Not sure about Cotto-Williams, but I'm convinced that Williams is a harder fight for Mayweather than Cotto is.

Williams' work rate is just unmatched, he is awkward, lanky, and he has a good jab and boxing skills. Going to the body and punching hard are elementary attributes that don't win you fights and this is the problem with people trying to predict ways to beat Floyd Mayweather. The only way I can seemingly predict a Floyd Mayweather loss is when he is at an unfair disadvantage, hence, a 6'2 Paul Williams who should be fighting at middle weight or something.
