    Mosley delusional?

I just have to get the opinion of some of the other fans out there...is Sugar Shane Mosley loosing it? He had those two fights with Vargas which kept him at 154 longer than he said he would, and now have you heard about his possible opponents? The top three listed in a recent article are :

    Carlos Baldomir
    Kermit Cintron
    Luis Collazo

Now, sure, Collazo got some recognition for his fight with Hatton...but besides that he isn't too well known. Is that the caliber of fighter we expect to see Shane fight? Then we have Kermit Cintron....who got spanked by Margarito. Is this fight worth it? I mean...there are bigger names out there and all this would do in my eyes is set Mosley up for a Margarito fight....maybe.

Baldomir? What? Why...? Just because he beat Zab and Gatti. He did just get owned by Mayweather. Are we taking Floyd's scraps now?

Is it just me or, based on this list, does Shane seem delusional? None of those fights are the big boys we expect to see him face. This isn't his first excursion into Welterweight. I see no reason, at this stage of his career, to waste time fighting tune-ups. Just go after a big dog.

    Yes or no?

Sickeningly careful? At this stage of his career? Or are you satisfied with those possible match-ups? Just curious.

No he only has a few years left to prove himself a HOFamer and should fight like one . I have no prob with a tune up but lets pick up the pace after .

I agree he only has a few years left- and needs to fight like a future HOF candidate. That's why, I personally, see no point in the possible opponents he is looking at. They are all tune up fights. Mosley doesn't have that much in the tank....use what you can while you can. Don't waste time with little fish. He's an experienced fighter- he once had the highest non-heavyweight KO percentage for a fighter ever. Shane is not a prospect...he needs to fight like a top dog. We won't let Mayweather off with fighting chumps. We rip him. Mosley needs to find a big name, too. No?

Yes I just think that it's hard to find fights for him right now . If you are a top 5 why take the chance with Mosley who doesn't bring as much $$$ as a DLH PBF and so on. I'd like to see him fight PBF, Zab,Quartey,Trinidad and a few others someday but I don't think many if any will happen .

I hear a boxing fan who wants to see him fight tougher opponents than he plans to. I think the motivation to fight Mosley for other's would not be in the money but in the respect. Whooping Shane's ass will be a nice credential to bigger money fights.

True a win over Mosley would put someone like PBF over the top . I don't think anyone could discredit a win over Mosley like they can with DLH .

I think any fighter who beats Shane has a very strong defense to fight more big names. Mosley is coming off a KO of Vargas in which he displayed flashes of the younger fighter than made him famous. Now is a perfect time for a hungry fighter to take on Mosley- now is a perfect time for Mosley to have offers pile up at his doorstep and take the one that makes us respect him the most.

I've heard that he is fighting Collazo. If that is true, then I am definately satisfied with that matchup.
