    Hughie Fury - Too active?

He has fought 11 times in 7 months, and while this is impressive, I think he would be better served to lessen the volume a little bit.

He went 6 rounds with croatian bum the other night, it was his second fight in two weeks, and i feel that he's not getting any time in camp to really work on his technique and improve.

The croatian took the fight on the basis of it going the distance, as did a few of his opponents so far. I wouldn't look too much into it, I think he's doing himself a lot of favours and he's slowly climbing the British ranks. Believe he'll be ranked top 10 next time out.

Would rather see him fight less often, better opponents.

This activity won't do him any harm though, it's just to get him used to going the distance in a professional ring.

It's good for him to get the rounds under his belt. Each fight, Peter asks him to work on different things. This isn't a David Price or Wilder - go out and KO them, learning nothing. Hughie is making the transition from the amateurs to pros. They are not bothered about losing a fight as long as Hughie learns along the way.

I think it's great what he's doing. He only turned pro in March & only turned 19 a few weeks back.

Let him have another few gimme's & start to improve the quality of the opposition around March.

All this talk of Tyson's record is nonsense. Tyson was a one off. Hughie is a long term project.

His kayo record is a little perplexing though. He stopped 4 of the first 5 & gone the distance in 4 of next 6 with 2 injuries pull outs.

But as long as he keeps on learning.....

that is a lot of fights in a short time but there is no amount of gym work/sparring that can teach you as much as a real fight so keep it up he will start to slow them down soon enough

As long as he's learning and the matchmaking allows him his to move his game on then I don't see a major problem. Tyson had 8 fights in 2009; so the Fury's have a history of getting busy and seem to have an old school attitude that "if we're not fighting, then we aint getting paid!

The only niggle I have is that it is a lot of work to get through at an age when the body is still developing and that can be a problem. I am sure Peter will throw in a few breaks for Hughie to unwind/heal when the opposition gets tougher. He seems like a smart operator.

Hughie's currently recovering from a cold earl , hasn't been his self for about a week or two now m8.

He tweeted, before Sundays bout, something about hoping his hand help up. If he is having problems there he needs to rest up a little.

The Fury brothers getting any recognition at all just shows how bad the heavyweight division really is now.

Sure they're fun to watch, and I think the younger brother is a bit better, but neither of these guys would get mentioned if we had legitimate world class big men like back in the day. Now it's pretty much just the Klitschko's and then everyone else.
