New trainer if he is serious about making a comeback. He has so many fundamental flaws that are costing him dearly. Roach isn't the man to take Khan forward. Khan needs to fix his defense and fight safety first to get anywhere to the top. Roach will not change Khan. These mistakes will happen time and time again under Roach.

The kid has a massive heart. He always gets up and wants to fight on, however, his legs say otherwise though. His chin obviously lets him down a bit, but I think other things are letting him down. These shots that he's been caught with are due to his lack of defense and ring IQ. Those mistakes are proving costly for Khan and they need to looked at.

Khan is shipping a lot of punishment considering he's still young IMO. He's been in some real wars in his career already and these wars are not good for him.

Not really that sure where Khan goes to be honest. But I defiantly feel he needs a new trainer. Roach is a fantastic trainer, but not the man to take Khan forward from on in.

If Khan stays with Roach, the inevitable will happen again. The habits Khan makes are costing him big time and any top level fighter will pick up on it. As soon last night, Angel Garcia knew the left hook was the money shot and Khan walked right on to it. Garcia just threw the shots with his hands and put full leverage into them, knowing that just one shot would have Khan all over the shop.

Khan needs to re-evaluate the situation and realize he needs to fight more intelligently. He disregards his strengths and you have to utilize them.

A tough and demoralizing loss for Khan but he can comeback from it. Although coming back this sort of defeat takes a hell lot of work. Those sort of losses can break you but its character that'll bring him back if he wants to do the work.

Must admit, I was quite sad to see Khan lose like that. This kid really has a big heart and has the champion spirit, courage, to get up, and fight on. You say what you want about Khan, but he is very brave and doesn't lye down. His legs just won't let him continue though. His legs just aren't there when hurt. He doesn't know where to go and what to do. I always feel once Khan is caught with a big shot that he's not far off from being took out again. He's always one shot away - just one shot. Feel bad for him.He is an talented guy, but his chin is haunting him. And that's something that cannot be fixed. Sad.

I think his arrogance costs him, if he was more aware of his limitations he would be better.
Everyone has a comment now Froch saying if it was him he'd retire....
Please, this doesn't help boxing we need to accept losses more then we will get better match ups.
I think Khan will always sell tickets because of his skills and chin or lack of....

he needs a new trainer. he needs to improve his footwork, use pivots and clever footplacement. that way he can turn opponents with less effort, as of now he only knows how to keep opponents off by running or throwing non stop combinations. once he gets tired he doesnt have anything left and the same thing applies to when he is hurt.

he needs to learn how to fight inside, he will never be an inside fighter but he needs to know how to shut down his opponents inside and get back to his distance. right now he just does a poor imitation of arthur abraham and covers up without success. he needs to know where to position his head and feet inside, how to move his head, where to keep his hands and how to make space to land shots of his own. how to clinch or turn his opponent to get back outside.

obviously his defence needs improving in all areas, but above anything else he needs to stop being a ****** in the ring. he doesnt fight like a proffessional, hes like a little kid fighting his older brother. he needs to think in the ring, avoid getting in trouble and know how to survive when he does get into trouble. that macho **** is just embarassing, dont point at your chin dumbass protect it.

it will take alot of improving and even then its not certain he can be on top of whatever division he will be in, certainly not 147. he has a big name so he wont dissapear but he wont be beating the top fighters imo. he will have big and relatively big fights, win some lose some.

Steward would be an excellent choice. He did wonders for Lewis & Wlad Klit, both rangy fighters with suspect whiskers. Khan's chin is worse than either one of them but Steward is the man to help him get the most out of his career.

A bigger problem is his arrogance. He kept looking past Garcia. And now he's an ex-champion who hasn't won a fight in a year.

A quick warm up fight then get him in there with Magic Man. If Paulie stops him it's time to open a corner store.

Best of luck in the future, Amir.

Unfortunately for Khan he doesn't have a cesspool of a division to hide out in which is how Steward has "helped" Wlad. Wlad hasn't improved, rather his opposition has been getting progressively more putrid with each passing year.

no need to see that fight.. again

and lewis had a fine chin. he beat a line up of punchers that rivals any line up ever faced by any HW. not all were one punch ****ers, and not all were prime (and two stopped him,) but they ranged from solid punchers to bonafide bone breakers, and lewis has a W over every man he ever faced

i think wladimir is a much better fighter than he was when he was an aggressor and an up and comer

a huge man like that has no reason to seek and destroy. use your jab and allow it to take it's toll. once he learned how to do that (under steward,) he became a very good HW.

now, do i think he stands up against true HW ATG? no i do not. his chin is not that good. when two great HW fight i think about the ability of the men to absorb the power of the other first and chiefly. if he cant he's not likely to skate his way around the ring behind the jab without getting touched, and he'll probably be stopped.
