Honestly, exile seems like a likely location as to where he goes with a loss.

He's built up this particular fight to mean a lot. In a good way if he wins. IF. He loses and this means everything.

Maidana is supposed to be the fight that poves he can get in there with a puncher, take his shots and still win. Maidana is nothing if he's not a puncher. So, a win is a must. Or it proves that all that "Freddie Roach taking him to the next level" **** will be for not.

A win, is huge. A loss, could be even bigger in a much worse off way.

Still, if it's a decision or a late stoppage, chances are he comes out winning. He just needs to prove to himself and fans that he can stay in there for the first four to five rounds.

Depends on the manner of the defeat. Everybody knows a KO would put his career in jeoparrdy, as a recent defeat to Prescott damaged him. Khan cannot lose this fight, Maidana is his first real tough fight since Kotelnik, a loss makes it clear he cannot compete at the top level. A win vs Maidana makes things alot different, he could go on to fight Alexander or Bradley (win or lose) he'd still get recognition.

A lot will depend on how he loses. It won't be the end,he has a huge fan base and there is too much money to be made to just give up. I think there would be 2 or 3 confidence builder fights most likely in the UK before he fights a name to get in the mix again.

A lot could do with the way he loses.

IF he loses by UD, TKO or a clean KO. If the KO is early or late. If the KO is a flash KO.

How do you see this going down?

I can't believe he will lose, he will jab maidana to death, as long as he sticks to roach's plan there is a 99% that khan will win. the smart money would go on khan by UD or late KO. i dont care about his styles, in this fight as khan has faster hands, longer reach and faster feet he just has to double up on jab and move. Maidana is quite quick, but its not enough. Khan will not let him inside end of, roach has trained him. I think he probably will find it a brease after the sparing with pac. Pac coming forward or Maidana not even same ball park. I know sparring is different than fight night with prtective gear but still.

                  Just checked betfair odds.

                  Khan by KO 2.2

                  Khan by UD 3.45

                  Maidana by KO 4.1

                  Maidana by UD 22

I think I might put a tenner on both Khan UD and Maidana KO

I think we can safely eliminate Maidana by decision as a likely outcome. It will be a KO if MM wins, Khan has the possibility of decision or stoppage (late) I feel.

This will be a real humdinger.
