That to me is a watershed kind of a situation. The Hall of Fame can be for casual fans... You can have "Rocky" and guys who used their face as a glove lol... Or in the case of baseball? The fans can be given a pretext to virtue signal and declare that Pete Rose will never enter these hallowed halls of virtue...

Meanwhile real boxing fans can use the "ATG" criteria to determine greatness... And baseball fans can be laughed at for their failure to understand that the game of baseball was played for most of its existence, by guys like Pete Rose, and Ty Cobb...Sociopaths, murderers, thieves, gamblers...

Oh ok, yeah I remember him. I thought he was pretty good. NSB use to tear him to pieces for some reason until he simply stopped posting here.

I'm going to look him up and see what i can find.

This is Barry... I know he has a lot of good stuff, tapes... and finding that Ward study would be nice. I will take a look for it as well. I like him, he has that New York no BS way about him lol.

Yes our self proclaimed expert brigade had to set Barry right! And accomplished a lot in so doing...

Barry Robinson was arrogant and condescending when he addressed posters here. They retaliated in kind.

Any positive contributions that he could have made got overshadowed by that. He sort of did it to himself.

Mind you...I guarantee very few, if any of these people actually analyzed that fight. A very talented trainer put out a video breaking down that fight on Youtube some time ago.

The video showed how good and how methodical Ward operated in that fight. Like Max Schmelling did when he caught Louis dropping a hand, Ward made sure
he knew exactly where Dawson's back hand was in relation to his jaw at all times. He tricked Dawson into thinking the hand protected the jaw against the left, and when Dawson bought it, Ward was ready.

But all those hopes and dreams turned to Dawson lacking because he lost to a truly great fighter...never mind how good Dawson was before that, and that the standards for the HOF are not the same as being an ATG.

I would ask: Is Dawson a better fighter than Gatti? My own opinion is that he was at least as good and Gatti made it in. Lol.
The usual yada, yada, yada from you. No way in hell is Dawson hof worthy. Even you know Gatti made it strictly because of his high profile wars with Ward. Dawson has nothing like that.

Yeah well that "yada yada" is a discussion and its what threads are about. You seem a bit but hurt so let me assure you that the HOF For boxing? I could not give two s h its about... It means very little to me. I do like raising certain points that I think are important, like the fact that a fighter like Dawson can be considered because of the standards in effect.

Call me old fashioned... When a guy establishes himself, shows creativity and intelligence, being a trainer, like when trainers really got down deep with technical knowledge, and a passion for the sport... I give them some slack. Ill give Barry props one further...I accomplished much the same as a teacher in my disciplines but I never have been able to put out an organized body of work for free that people can look at and learn from...The closest I came was articles written for martial arts ****zines, so I look like a hotshot, but the calibre one can produce that way has never been one of great insight and quality.

Some of us put real time and purpose into our endevours and somehow these days people have no respect for the authority that comes out of that. Not saying Barry is perfect but you deal with the type of @33holes we all have to deal with here...
