Ditto here .Theres a reason Leonard wouldn’t give him a rematch for as long as he did. These two could have had two good fights at 147 and maybe one or two at 154 like the good ole boys used to but Leonard wanted nothing to do with him.

I lean towards a draw or a split decision either way.

I think Tommy wins a rematch at 147 or 154

154 better suited Hearns in my opinion. Leonard is always a problem, but I think Tommy wins a close but unanimous decision.

So Leonard stops Hearns at 147 lbs., and was on his way to stopping him again at 162 lbs., but some how, by some kinda magic, the out-come here is different!?!?!?

Hearns wasn't chinny, per se. But his chin wasn't what it needed to be against great finishers. Ray was as strong a finisher as we've ever seen.

Ray stops him again w/in 15.

Siding with Old Left, draw or split decision for either guy.

                - -Ray eked out a tko in the first fight over an obviously overtrained Hearns to win the fight , but Hearns won the war.

Every fight after this had a joke quality to it as Ray milked his adoring public with staged comebacks.

Tommy was busy establishing the meat of his legacy, and by the time of their rematch, both were seriously faded.

Hearns would be a great 154 lbs. fighter, but I don't think he would be the greatest of AT in that division either. I don't think he could get by Julian Jackson, for one.
