24 foot rings are rare in boxing. I think Leonard may have finagled one for his bout with Hagler.

Angelo Dundee tells a story about screwing over some opponent's manager with a doctored tape measure. - The fighter had contracted for a 20' ring but the ring set-up was only 18 feet and the manager refused to let his guy fight just on principle, so Dundee took a tape measure and cut two feet out of the middle oft he tape and then had the ring remeasured in front of the manager. It measured out to 20'. Or so the story goes. - Dundee use to make stories up to make himself look important.

Michael Spinks vs Marvin Johnson. Ring size: 17' 5". The rings are getting smaller. This was in Atlantic City, a ten rounder.
