I tend to be fluid in my opinions and would rather learn from guys who really know what the ----- they are talking about.
But i have a few of my opinions that I find hard to let go of: Here are a few
a) Roy Jones lost to Tarver because Tarver was not intimidated by his speed and feints, not because roy was over it, drained, maimed, too muscled, not muscled enoough.....
b) The best fighter today fighting professionally is not named mayweather but is named Aundrey Ward....They both do everything really well, they each have categories of brilliance but Ward has a whole other dimension to his game involving fighting inside and Ward dominated his comp never getting touched while Mayweather since lightweight gets a chrome bubble special occasionally. Ward has better feet and is almost as accurate a puncher.
c) Telepio Stevenson, whos name I cannot spell was potentially an ATG equivalent to any top five list.
Ill start with those....and see if I can survive the back lash.

Evander Holyfield would have beaten any version of Mike Tyson.
Wlad Klitschko would have never been a major titleholder in the 90s or any other tough era.

My opinion will never be changed that Mike Tyson is the hardest punching Heavyweight of all times.
What about you guys, what is set in stone in boxing history in your opinion?
Some things that will always stay more or less subjective, like Tyson being the hardest ever puncher, will never have enough conclusive evidence to go one way or the other.
Most of these types of things I've changed my mind on over the years numerous times as it is, so I'm happy to say that I can have my mind changed on most, if not all, things with the right evidence.

1. Wlad has developed a very good strategy to win fights but he is still mentally in a bad place if anybody becomes very aggressive in style . Hence the panic grabbing on the rare occasion this happens .
2. Wlad is allowed to hold excessively by referee's that aren't strong enough to take points early enough . So fights have a chance to blossom .
3. Adrien broner is a total tool and should fight Danny Garcia next .
4. Fights should go back to same day weigh-ins and world tittle fights should be 15 rounds .
5. Hagler was going to get screwed in Vegas unless he ko'd ray leonard
6. Jack kid berg is the greatest british lightweight & light-welterweight ever .
7. It was very bad management to allow Duran to rematch leonard so quickly . He was never going to be in good shape .
8. Gerry cooney was a huge waste talent he could of been second only to holmes in his era

I feel like I'm always learning more about technique, history, etc so I don't allow myself to shut the book on anything. In fact, I'm often eager to admit I'm wrong about certain fighters. I was wrong about Cotto being shot. About Maidana being unteachable (before the Broner fight). About Alexander and Trout having bright futures. A person who can recognise when they are wrong is always growing smarter while the person who is convinced they are always right is mentally stagnant.

That, along with the Maidana fight being one of the most satisfying victories in boxing I can ever remember.
All the evidence you need for that can be seen in the run up to the fight until the first bell rings.
