Today, can we ever imagine how it was to be a prizefighter in the early decades of the 20th century?
Having lost a tooth or two in a fight, or having a rib or two broken, or having a severe headache because of concussion?
And in an era when pain killers were either rather ineffective or dangerous to consume.
And with another fight waiting in the next few weeks to secure your daily subsistence.

I have no idea... Fighting with smaller gloves every few weeks, is just insane by today's standards, let alone all the pain they went thru..
