If they was building a house, it'd always be falling down before completion. They'd always be running out of gas everywhere they went.

[QUOTE=Southpaw Stinger;1215561]It's not just size man it's technique. You could have two identical men, same size, age weight, reach etc and one could punch a lot harder than the other if he had the right technique.

Well put. There’s still no huge conclusive scientific studies based on power, speed, strength etc. I mean a chimp can peel a human apart at a much smaller body weight. A gorilla can get huge on plants. An elephants trunk is the strongest thing I’ve seen in person by far. When we say “power” in boxing I think we really mean who is better at knocking people out in ring because that’s what matters. If recording the hardest single punch on sum scientific study really mattered and was worth something then that would be an event held every year. People would make money on it. I mean there’s long drive competitions in golf but none of these guys are top golfers. Plus very few of the drives they hit even land in the fairway to make them worth anything. Speed makes punches harder to see and prepare for. A heavy armed slow punch can be easier to avoid. Counter punches do much more damage as ur opponent is getting hit while in a compromised position instead of a defensive one. Boxers are also all over the place on consensus of who hits harder than who. I just find it hard to quantify any of these polls. It’d be easier to radar gun peoples punches or measure the speed on a slow mo camera, and still we don’t do that either.
