He supposedly fell from a jab. What do you think?

Did Jack Sharkey take a dive against Primo?

It is debatable. In the second fight a right uppercut from Primo landed on Sharkey's chin and the followup did land too. I dont see how Sharkey went down from the jab, when his head was snapped back from the uppercut.
We have to keep in mind Sharkey's attitude before the Ko too, he was throwing bombs with his right hand, which barely missed Primo. I dont think you fight a fixed fight like that.

If I recall correctly, Sharkey claimed he saw an apparition of his late friend, who had died in a fight with Carnera (but it's assumed the real damage had been done in a fight with Max Baer) and this caused him to be so hesitant that he either stayed down or was too confused to make the count.
It was one of those poor performances by Sharkey and shouldn't be held against him when judging his ability as a prime fighter. Sharkey at his best was very capable, a well built power puncher who could box as well.

Nevermind the numbers, he could hit harder than his KO % would lead you to believe. Watch his fight with Loughran, the one that went three rounds. You can find it on youtube. Watch the right he smashes Loughran with, and then tell me he can't punch. Loughran was not known to get axed like that, that was a good punch delivered by a very strong Sharkey.
He wasn't a consistent knockout artist like a Dempsey or a Louis but there was power in his shots.
Jake LaMotta and Rubin Carter are two other fighters who came to mind who could punch, and yet the numbers would make you think they couldn't.

And what reason would Sharkey's wife have to lie if "fixed" fights were so common?
